- Fee Exemption & Refund: Women, SC, ST, PwBD and Ex‑servicemen candidates are exempted from application fee and will receive full refund of ₹750 processing fee.
- All other candidates who appear in the written test (Post Code 01) / interview (Post Code 03) will get a refund of ₹500; candidates shortlisted but absent for these stages or whose applications are invalid/incomplete will not receive any refund.
- Application/processing fee is paid online only through Bharatkosh portal/payment gateway; refund will normally go to the original payment method, or to the bank account entered in the application in case of failure. URSC is not responsible for refund issues due to incorrect bank details filled by candidates.
