INI CET Exam Pattern 2026 is expected to remain the same as previous sessions. The Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET), conducted by AIIMS New Delhi, is a computer-based entrance exam for admission to MD, MS, DM, MCh, and MDS courses in premier institutes, including AIIMS, JIPMER, PGIMER, and NIMHANS. For the July 2026 session, the exam will feature 200 multiple-choice questions to be attempted in 180 minutes (3 hours).

The paper is divided into 4 parts with 50 questions each, and 45 minutes allotted per part. It includes both single-correct and multiple-correct type questions. Understanding the marking scheme, negative marking, and subject distribution is essential for effective preparation and time management.

Types of Questions in INI CET Exam

The INI CET question paper includes two main types of MCQs:

• Single Correct Answer Type: Only one option is correct.
• Multiple Correct Answer Type: More than one option may be correct. Candidates must choose the most appropriate response option (e.g., “A and C are correct”).

Questions test conceptual understanding, clinical application, and integration of subjects from the MBBS curriculum.

Syllabus in INI CET 2026

The syllabus is based on the entire undergraduate MBBS curriculum and is broadly divided into three categories:

• Pre-Clinical Subjects: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry (Approx. 20-25% weightage)

• Para-Clinical Subjects: Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine (Approx. 25-30% weightage)

• Clinical Subjects: Medicine & Allied, Surgery & Allied, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, etc. (Approx. 45-50% weightage)

Preparation Strategy Based on INI CET Exam Pattern
