A total of 40 vacancies have been announced across 19 research projects in science policy, AI, environment, health, water resources, science communication, and related domains at CSIR-NIScPR, New Delhi.

CSIR-NIScPR Eligibility Criteria 2026

  • Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

CSIR-NIScPR Age Limit 2026

  • Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – 35 Years
  • Project Associate-II (PAT-II) – 35 Years
  • Project Assistant-II (PA-II) – 35 Years
  • Senior Project Associate (SPA) – 40 Years
  • Principal Project Associate (Principal PAT) – 40 Years
  • Project Scientist-II (PS-II) – 40 Years

CSIR-NIScPR Application Fee 2026

  • No application fee is required. Candidates must report directly for the Walk-in-Interview with their completed application form and original documents.

CSIR-NIScPR Selection Process 2026

  • Candidates must report at the NIScPR Reception Desk on 14 May 2026 between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM (late arrivals will not be entertained).
  • Selection will be based on: (a) Academic records, and/or (b) Performance in written test (if applicable), and (c) Interview.
  • CSIR-NIScPR reserves the right to cancel or withdraw the offer at any stage without assigning any reason.

  • Download the official Application Format from the CSIR-NIScPR website: https://niscpr.res.in.
  • Fill in the prescribed application format with all required details (Name, DOB, Category, Qualification, Experience, etc.).
  • Affix a recent passport-size photograph and sign across it on the application form.
  • Bring the duly filled application form along with all original certificates and one set of self-attested photocopies (Age proof, Category certificate, Educational qualifications, Experience certificates, NET/GATE certificate if applicable).

CSIR-NIScPR Remuneration 2026

  • Project Associate-I (PAT-I) – ₹31,000/month + HRA (for NET/GATE/National exam qualified candidates); ₹25,000/month + HRA (for others)
  • Project Associate-II (PAT-II) – ₹35,000/month + HRA (for NET/GATE/National exam qualified candidates); ₹28,000/month + HRA (for others)
  • Project Assistant-II (PA-II) – ₹20,000/month + HRA
  • Senior Project Associate (SPA) – ₹42,000/month + HRA
  • Principal Project Associate (Principal PAT) – ₹49,000/month + HRA
  • Project Scientist-II (PS-II) – ₹67,000/month + HRA

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • Project staff engagement is on a contractual basis up to 31 March 2027 only, or co-terminus with the respective project.
  • Under no circumstances shall the total tenure of project staff in CSIR-NIScPR or any CSIR laboratory exceed six years.
  • Only candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and whose result has been declared (at least provisional certificate) are eligible to appear.
  • Result-awaited / final semester candidates are not eligible where the minimum essential qualification is mandatory.
  • Experience will be counted from the date after acquiring the minimum essential educational qualification. Dissertation/thesis work during academic period will not be counted as experience.
  • Part-time, daily wages, visiting/guest faculty experience will not be counted towards valid experience.
  • Mere fulfilling of minimum qualifications does not confer any right to selection.
  • No upgradation of project staff shall be done in the same or new project.
  • The engagement may be terminated at any time by giving one month’s notice by either side.
  • No TA will be paid to candidates for appearing in the Walk-in-Interview.
  • No claim for permanent position shall be entertained.
  • Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.
  • Number of positions may increase or decrease.
